I graduated cum laude from Duke University with a major in economics and a minor in computer science. I scored a 1590 on the SAT, 1510/1520 on the PSAT, and 173/180 on the LSAT. I graduated cum laude from Duke University with a major in economics and a minor in computer science. I scored a 1590 on the SAT, 1510/1520 on the PSAT, and 173/180 on the LSAT. During high school, I took 19 AP Exams and earned the AP Scholar with Distinction award. I also have been accepted to Columbia Law School, where I plan on attending in the future. I specialize in standardized testing preparation, though I also have experience in tutoring high school math, English, history, and science. I have tutored both as a volunteer and through paid work for around 5 years, and I have also worked as a teaching assistant at Duke during my time there.

I believe that standardized tests all require the same approach, even if the test content differs. I only ever use real material approved by the testing agency, and I ensure that the student wholly understands the test they are taking. I aim to give each child the skills to not only get every question correct, but also diagnose and review their own mistakes so that those mistakes occur less frequently. Excellent Tutor Who Builds Confidence!

Paul has been a wonderful SAT Reading and Writing tutor for my son. Over the past few weeks, he has helped my son understand how to approach different question types and identify the areas where he needs the most improvement. He was especially helpful with Command of Evidence, Grammar, Vocabulary, and reading more challenging passages. I especially appreciate that Paul focused not only on practicing questions but also on helping my son understand why he was getting questions wrong and how to recognize his own weaknesses. He is patient, knowledgeable, and very encouraging, creating a positive learning environment that has helped build my son's confidence. My son enjoyed working with him and wanted to continue tutoring with him.
