Hello! I graduated cum laude from George Mason University with a BA in Communication (concentration in Journalism) and a BA in Global Affairs (concentration in Environmental Science and Politics). While an undergrad, I worked at Mason's student-run newspaper, first as the Assistant News Editor in my third year, and later as the Campus News Editor during my fourth year. During college, I sharpened my writing and editing skills at several internships such as Screen International and Connection Newspapers.
In the years following college, my writing and editing career has grown to include positions at the former On Tap Magazine and freelancing opportunities with Northern Virginia Magazine and the former District Fray Magazine. I am also set to start a Creative Writing MA at Queen Mary University of London in the fall of 2025.
While I have not spent many hours traditionally tutoring, I have 10+ years’ experience in writing - everything from news articles, to culture features, to poetry and creative writing (including my own experiences in high school and college English classes [including several AP classes in high school]). My years as an editor and working for publications have also made me a sharp editor: improving writers’ grammar, helping them make clear and concise points, and creating outlines to draft a successful piece of writing from start to finish.
