Hi! I love helping students improve grades, get ahead in class, organize, take notes, study, manage time, inspire and get them to learn to love science!

I have a B.S. in Biochemistry with a minor in Chemistry and an M.S. in Life Science majoring in Biochemistry. I am also a licensed teacher in the state of Virginia through the VDOE. I have mentored undergraduate students in the laboratory as well as tutored many students in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, and Biotechnology.

I have been teaching for nine years at the high school and undergraduate level. I began teaching as a Biochemistry graduate student and fell in love with mentoring and helping others understand science! I am now a full time Chemistry teacher.

Biochemistry is my favorite subject! I have both a B.S. and M.S. in biochemistry and have taught biochemistry at the high school and undergraduate level. I have done extensive research in biochemistry of infectious diseases.

My research specialty was in infectious diseases particularly Malaria parasites. I used many molecular cloning techniques to express and purify proteins from P. falciparum, M tuberculosis, and E. coli. My published work used several genetic analysis tools to align cloning sequences and translate them to amino acids.

I have an M.S. in Biochemistry specializing in drug discovery and metabolite analysis of pathogenic microbes. I have done extensive research with microbes including Plasmodium falciparum, Mycobacterium bovis, and E. coli. I am also very knowledgeable of biotech techniques and procedures.

The best tutor I have ever had!

Christian was by far the best tutor I have ever had. He took the time to show me chemistry which I wasn't understanding back at school. I can now do Stoichiometry so easily! He taught me conversion factors and how to convert units which my other teacher wasn't able to get through. I am taking Biology next year and will for sure use you again! THE BEST!
