I am passionate about giving back to the community and helping people become their best versions. I am willing to put in the extra time and effort to ensure a student properly learns a subject. I am a former Sunday School Teacher of ages 0-12, so I know and appreciate that creating the correct environment for learning can make lessons stick with people for a lifetime. As such, I will take any tutoring opportunities very seriously and make sure that the client isn't just cramming for a next-day exam but will be able to have an integrated, foundational knowledge of subjects that will carry them on throughout their academic career.
At the College of William and Mary, I won the Jacquelyn Y. McLendon Award for Excellence in Africana Studies, a courseload of intensive writing and research. It relates to African American History, American History, and World History and Social Studies. As such, I would be happy and well-equipped to help tutor with writing, American History, African American History, World History, or Social Studies. I would also happily tutor Biology, particularly microbiology and cellular biology, as that is my niche.
