Hi! :) I graduated cum laude from Shenandoah University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry, and I am currently pursuing my Master of Public Health. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in biology, chemistry, microbiology, anatomy and physiology, and other health and life sciences. Hi! :) I graduated cum laude from Shenandoah University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry, and I am currently pursuing my Master of Public Health. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in biology, chemistry, microbiology, anatomy and physiology, and other health and life sciences. I enjoy taking concepts that initially seem overwhelming and breaking them down into smaller, easier-to-understand pieces.

I have experience supporting students in both classroom and laboratory settings. I have worked as a substitute teacher with Loudoun County Public Schools, where I have supported elementary, middle, and high school students across different subjects and learning needs. During college, I also served as a Microbiology Laboratory Teaching Assistant, helping undergraduate students understand laboratory concepts, procedures, and course material. These experiences taught me that every student learns differently, so I adjust my explanations and approach based on the individual student rather than expecting one method to work for everyone.

My goal as a tutor is to create a patient and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I like to first identify what a student already understands, then work through difficult concepts step by step using examples, practice questions, and connections that make the material easier to remember. Whether a student needs help strengthening foundational skills, improving a grade, preparing for an exam, or simply becoming more confident in a subject, I want them to leave our sessions understanding not only the answer, but how to arrive at it independently.
