I graduated from George Mason University in December 2024 with a Bachelor's in Computer Science and a 3.6 GPA. My coursework covered data structures, algorithms, operating systems, computer networks, database systems, and secure programming. I'm also CompTIA A+ certified and fluent in both English and Spanish, so I'm comfortable working with students in either language.

My approach to tutoring is straightforward — I focus on making sure the student actually understands what's happening, not just memorizing steps to get through a homework problem. I've helped peers work through programming assignments and math concepts throughout my time at GMU, explaining things one on one and adjusting based on how the person learns. Some people need to see the logic broken down step by step, others need to just start writing code and fix it as they go. I work with both.
I'm comfortable tutoring intro to programming, Java, Python, C, data structures, algorithms, discrete math, and general computer science concepts. I've built real projects using these languages including a reliable transport protocol in C, a full certificate authority system in Java, and a full-stack web application in JavaScript and React. I know the material beyond the classroom level and I can explain it clearly to someone who is just starting out or someone who is stuck on a specific concept.
