My approach to tutoring is straightforward — I focus on making sure the student actually understands what's happening, not just memorizing steps to get through a homework problem. I've helped peers work through programming assignments and math concepts throughout my time at GMU, explaining things one on one and adjusting based on how the person learns. Some people need to see the logic broken down step by step, others need to just start writing code and fix it as they go. I work with both.
