Hi, I'm Donna! My husband and I have been Christian ministers for 30 years serving in ten different states. I have an Associates' degree in Theology. I have taught children and adults from all walks of life. Much of my time has been spent teaching children in a parents' cooperative daycare and children's church activities. I have also worked as a substitute teacher in elementary education. I love being with children and I embrace their sense of adventure, their curiosity about the world around them, and their eagerness to learn. Reading, writing, spelling, and vocabulary are my favorite subjects.
My husband and I have two sons in their 20's. As a family, we have had many adventures in our travels and love spending time with family and friends around the country. I utilize these experiences in my teaching style to keep learning fun and interesting!
My love for reading and writing has always been a large part of my life. There are so many interesting words in the English language that vocabulary has always fascinated me.
I have always excelled in handwriting and spelling largely due to the high standards of the schools I attended in my formative years. I believe these are imperative tools to clear and effective communication.
Learning can be fun, and my goal is to work with each student to help them find joy in learning.
