Hi, My name is Chandran P. I love teaching Accounting including the principles of accounting and related accounting concept of double-entry accounting, preparation of journal entries, general ledger, posting from journal to general ledgers, preparation of Trial Balance, and preparation of Financial Statements. My teaching will be with clear examples of Assets, Liabilities, Equity, Revenue, and Expenses that will equip the students to prepare the Income Statement, Balance Sheet and other financial statements. My teaching will be covering areas such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Bank Reconciliation and Cash Flow Statements and other accounting topics. I am also experienced in teaching topics of financial analysis including ratio analysis. My experience includes teaching accounting for corporations and its structure.
I have ten years of teaching experience as an Accounting Instructor for an Adult and Community Education Program for a large Public School system. I have effectively used both in-person and online instructional mediums and used tools such as Skype and Google Meet. Through this teaching experience, I have gained the skills to interact with students from different walks of life and educational needs. I have Interacted with students to whom English is a second language, while developing the teaching skills and techniques to address their learning needs. In addition to my teaching experience, I have thirty years of work experience as an Accountant with different organizations.
My academic background includes a B.S. Degree in Computer Science, M.S. Degree in Accounting and a Law Degree (LL.B.). I am also a CPA. I believe in an individualized approach to teaching because each student's academic strengths and weaknesses and needs could be different.
