I know what it feels like to sit in front of a Math problem and think “I just don’t get it”. I am with you if you are bored because Math is too easy and you are ready to go beyond your grade level. I have seen it all! Math doesn’t have to be scary and you don’t have to be disengaged. I‘m here to help it finally click.
With over 15+ years of working across classroom, small groups and one-on- one settings, both offline and online, I specialize in elementary and middle school Math. I transitioned into education after a career as a software professional, all for the love of teaching Math. My background includes hands on experience breaking down complex topics like fractions, word problems, pre-algebra into simple bite-sized steps that makes sense. I have also supported students preparing for tests and assessments.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, a Master of Computer Applications, Bachelor of Education and Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers.
Every session will start with where you are right now and not where a textbook says you should be. For kids who say “I hate Math” I use real life examples, games, videos and visual models to replace Math anxiety with curiosity. For students who are ahead of grade level, I can enrich lessons with challenge problems and deeper conceptual thinking to keep them inspired. I have learned that consistency and small wins matter the most. What sets me apart is that I don’t rush, I don’t judge and I don’t give up until the student feels confident and ready. I track progress carefully and communicate with parents clearly.
