I’m excited to work with students because I know firsthand how transformative the right guidance can be. I graduated from the University of Virginia with a 3.8 GPA, earning degrees in Economics and Computer Science, and I’m currently pursuing my master’s in Finance at Georgetown University. Before college, I attended Oakton High School, where I maintained a 4.5 GPA and scored in the top percentiles on standardized tests: a 1540 on the SAT, a 35 on the ACT, and a 1490 on the PSAT, which earned me National Merit recognition. These experiences taught me not only the academic content behind these exams, but also the structure, patterns, and logic that make them so learnable with the right approach.
My tutoring experience began in high school through the GIVE program, where I worked with students across different ages, skill levels, and learning styles. That experience shaped my tutoring philosophy: students don’t just need information, they need clarity, structure, and someone who can break things down in a way that finally clicks. I firmly believe that tests like the SAT and ACT are beatable. They reward strategy, pattern recognition, and disciplined practice just as much as raw knowledge. In our sessions, I focus on teaching those strategies, demystifying the test design, and giving students a step-by-step system they can rely on. Ultimately, my goal is to build confidence, reduce stress, and help students reach scores they may not have thought possible.
