Hi, I'm Andy. I spent over four years studying Arabic at a major university and within that time took an intensive advanced Arabic program at the University of Jordan. In addition I've worked and lived in the middle east on multiple occasions being utilized as a primary and secondary interpreter on various projects. I loved the time I spent learning Arabic and developing our program but my passion is teaching!
My programs differ from the status quo. As a non native speaker I understand...

Great Tutoring Experience
I belong to an organization that’s helping with families who are relocating to the US from the Middle East. So I wanted to learn some Arabic and a little bit about the Middle Eastern culture to be better equipped to talk and work with helping them get settled in the new community. The speed that I learned Arabic with Andy was really great and super helpful to get started with meeting our new family who relocated to our town. Also learning a little bit about the culture made it more comfortable to interact and get to know each other. Would highly recommend this approach to learning a language and culture.

Review for Andy P.
Andy’s teaching provides strategic and practical learning through conversational and situational based lessons. One is not only learning the language at a faster rate, but also is exposed to cultural components as well. Whether you’re new to the Arabic language or have some prior experience learning the language, you will benefit from this unorthodox, “classroom” setting.

Helpful, patient, and effective!
I requested a session on conversational Arabic and was surprised that I was able to have a short, polite conversation by the end of the first lesson. Andy was an excellent, patient, and encouraging tutor who kept the lesson interesting. He would stop briefly to correct me before getting right back to it, which kept me engaged without getting frustrated. Andy's conversational approach was a very effective and intuitive way to learn. He even gave me some tips on some colloquial speaking. Great tutor!

A different method with scenario-based learning
The Arabic language is difficult, and a questionable goal for an older student. Andy teaches words in context, which works much better than memorizing a list. I find it a more natural way to learn both the vocabulary and grammar, which is progressively repeated in different situations. He is patient and encouraging and the lessons are interesting. You will find yourself walking down streets in the Mid-East, riding in a cab, ordering food, and taking field trips. The best part is that it is working for me.

REAL Arabic Conversation Skills Right From The Beginning!
Talk about a rapid and great concept. Andy has taken slow, archaic Arabic tutoring and turned it on its head. You learn real Arabic conversations from the start. NO messy/elaborate focus on grammar rules that drown you before you even start. He knows Arabic from his formal studies state side AND from formal programs overseas. Well spoken, well versed and in-tune. You will naturally pickup more than JUST Arabic, he slides culture, history, food and all sorts of relevant things into your program. Andy packs a real punch for the price.
