Hi, I'm Ivette. I am experienced elementary, middle, and high school teacher. I graduated with my B.A. from George Mason University and Master's Degree from Liberty University in Curriculum and Instruction, focusing on Foreign Languages. I have worked with all different age groups as both a classroom instructor in elementary and secondary grades and Spanish instructor in elementary and secondary grades. I have worked with individuals to help improve their language acquisition, small groups, and large groups. I have been a classroom instructor in brick-and-mortar and virtual classrooms. I hold state licensure in Spanish, and ESL, and am currently working on Reading Specialist licensure.
I enjoy seeing students progress in their learning and seeing them fully understand a topic and gain confidence. Ensuring that students learn and feel comfortable in their learning environment is very important to me as a teacher and therefore accept suggestions from students and parents to ensure that they are learning the best way possible. I enjoy lecturing, but also ensuring that students get the hands-on practice through the I-do, we-do, you-do method of learning. I believe that allowing students to practice will ensure that they comprehend the material and feel comfortable in their learning.
I am easy to communicate with and will usually respond within 24-hours. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or requests for scheduling. I look forward to working with your student.
