I’m Remy! I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. I am pursuing a Biomedical Master of Science at Tufts University School of Medicine. My specialty is in science-related disciplines with special attention on Biology, Human Anatomy, Embryology, and Organic Chemistry. I can also assist with public speaking and presentation skills. I have received several awards for my scientific research and presentations at The Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) and Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minoritized Scientists (ABRCMS). My research experience branches across several disciplines of science, such as biostatistics, genetics, developmental biology, and women’s health.
My tutoring experience is with college students during my undergraduate degree. I assisted underclassmen and peers with understanding complex sciences such as organic chemistry, parasitology, and human anatomy. I use study techniques such as the SQ3R method, Active recall, Blurting method, and the Feynman technique to assist students with comprehension, memorization, contextualizing, and confidence. I prioritize understanding the basics and having confidence in one’s knowledge, which is the foundation for moving upward.
