Hola, I am Violet! I have taught Spanish at the high school and college level for many years. Because of my teaching experience I can assist students in understanding what their teacher needs them to do so that they can be successful in their Spanish class. I know how to break down the material so that the concepts can be understood clearly. I use different dynamic techniques to help students remember the material. I believe that at the end of every tutoring session the student should feel that they have gained a better grasp of the concepts and feel more confident in the use of the Spanish language.

I have a Master's degree specifically in teaching Spanish and a Doctorate in Modern Languages. I pursued these degrees because of my desire to learn about strategies that are most effective in assisting students to learn Spanish. As a teacher, I always helped the mid and low performing students. I simplified the material for them, provided a lot of practice and encouragement, which minimized their anxiety. Those that were high achievers I spurred on to do even better. I am a native speaker of Spanish and I can explain grammatical concepts and conjugations of verbs easily and with patience. Through the years, I have noticed that I enjoy working with students that need an extra push; someone to show them how to move forward and I count it a privilege to help students meet their goals.
