Elementary (K-6th)

I received a BS in Elementary Education and Psychology from Gordon College and have a license to teach grades 1-6. I have over 25 years of experience teaching and tutoring students in pre-K through 6th grade. I am a very creative person who thinks outside the box and enjoys creating my own personalized lesson plans for each individual student or small group. I work with students of all abilities, including special needs, twice-exceptional, and gifted students.

Elementary Math

I have been tutoring students in math for more than 30 years. In high school, I was chosen by my teacher to tutor my classmates in Algebra 1. Also, as a teenager I would teach the children how to add up columns of numbers while playing games with them, such as Yatzee. In college, I taught math to small groups of children in public school. Once I got married and started my family, I taught math to my five children while homeschooling them. I also taught private math lessons and taught math in co-op settings. A couple years ago I started a tutoring business and have worked one-on-one with students from kindergarten to 9th grade in math. I am also currently a public school math interventionist. I pull from one to five students at a time from their classrooms on a daily basis to help them get caught up in their math skills.

Homeschool

I got my degree from Gordon College in MA and am licensed to teach grades 1-6. After getting my degree and substitute teaching, I became a homeschooling mom/teacher to my 5 children. I also tutored privately and taught small classes in various homeschool co-op groups from 2004 to present. In 2023, after most of my children graduated from homeschooling, I opened my own tutoring business and now tutor in-person in my home classroom and online.
