I am a professional Software Developer using programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, and TypeScript. With these languages I use the .NET Framework, which is a highly in demand skill set. I have created websites, web applications, and computer software. I've also used databases to support software development, and I have experience with database querying. I am also familiar with the hiring practices within the field, as well as the questions that may get asked during an interview for the concepts and languages mentioned above.

My educational background includes an Associate's degree followed up with a Bachelor's certificate, both in Computer Science. The colleges and universities I attended primarily used Java, and I know first hand what kind of effort these classes expect from you.

I am just starting out as a tutor, though I have always enjoyed helping others to succeed. I am more than happy to help you learn the basics, or to explain any area that you may be having difficulty with. SQL is the language of choice for querying and using databases, a heavily used technology that stores information, often used in conjunction with web applications. I can teach the basics of querying databases using SQL, to advanced topics such as table design, 3rd normal form, Online Transaction Processing(OLTP), and Online Analytic Processing(OLAP). I have been a software developer for over 10 years, of which every job I've worked with required heavy usage and design of databases. The primary database technology I've used is Microsoft SQL Server, though I have also have used Oracle.

Excellent Teacher

Nickolaus is a excellent teacher who strikes the right balance between asking guiding questions so you can do your own problem solving, while at the same time stepping in with research and insights that prompt you in the right direction. His teaching style is effective at getting the lesson to stick with you, as you will be involved in problem solving during the lesson. I have worked with him several times on my first ASP.NET Core MVC project, and I am now excited to launch it soon, big thanks to Nickolaus's help. Highly recommended!
