Hello, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Colette and I am currently an elementary teacher located in Northern Virginia. I have taught special education at the elementary level for the past 6 years. I have a master's in special education and literacy through the College of Saint Rose, located in New York. I currently serve on gifted and talented identification team. I have always lived to work with you elementary-aged children. I enjoy their excitement for learning. I have tutored students both in home and in public school settings. I enjoy watching children learn and plan my lessons accordingly.
Currently, I offer tutoring services in reading, writing and mathematics grades pre-K through 8th grade.
I have an undergraduate degree in elementary education and a master's in special education and literacy. I am certified through the state of Virginia and New York to teach all subjects pre-K through 8th grade. Additional I am certified to teach literacy and special education from birth to 12th grade.
I enjoy using a hands-on approach to learning and design lessons and activities to support all styles of learning. I am a life-long learner and enjoy working with all elementary-aged students. I work very hard to match my lessons to my students. I believe all students can learn it is the responsibility of the teacher to find how and which way.
