I obtained a bachelor's degree in political science from Virginia Tech in 2010, and I've been studying the subject since spring 2006. My family routinely consults me on matters of government functions and current events, and I'm always happy to give people a better understanding of how elections, campaigns, and legislation work. I've also written several short essays designed to inform the reader on subjects like the filibuster, the Electoral College, and the concept of judicial review.

Study Skills

Knowing how to manage your time and how you best process information is critical once you get to the point in school where studying is actually necessary. I learned this the hard way during my last year in college, and I'd like to help other people not have the same difficulties I did. The most important aspect, frankly, is willpower: sometimes you need to force yourself to do something even when you really don't want to, and that's hardest in the beginning, before it becomes a habit.
