I have a background in education and recruiting, and I’ve worked with students of all ages in different settings. I earned my bachelor’s degree and spent time as a substitute teacher in both Fredericksburg City and Spotsylvania County Public Schools. I’ve worked with elementary, middle, and high school students, often providing extra support for those who needed help staying focused or catching up.
Outside of the classroom, I’ve tutored one-on-one in GED subjects like reading, writing, and math. I’m very patient and easy to talk to, and I always aim to make students feel comfortable asking questions. I adjust my approach depending on what each student needs, whether that means breaking things down step-by-step, using real-life examples, or just boosting their confidence.
I’ve also worked with adult learners, and I know how important it is to meet people where they are. I try to make things feel less overwhelming by focusing on progress over perfection and making sure they don’t feel judged. Whether it’s in person or virtual, I bring a calm, supportive energy to every session.
Helping people feel capable and encouraged is something I genuinely love. I’m here to help students not just pass the GED, but feel proud of themselves while doing it.
