I discovered my love for teaching while helping my friends in college with subjects we were taking together. I would explain concepts to them they didn't understand and it was very rewarding when their grades improved because of that. I received special math awards in high school and have done very well so far in my Mechanical Engineering major at Virginia Tech. I have also worked as a tutor at the Math Emporium there.

Aliya helped my 13 yr old with Pre-Algebra. My daughter was hesitant but after session had a smile on her face and felt confident in what she had learned from Aliya. We are booking another session and plan for more. Also, Aliya asked ahead of time for material/agenda of what is being taught. This helped set the stage for a successful session. Well-prepared.
