Then, I continued instructing Vietnamese language and culture to Americans in Virginia and Washington DC. I got an Associate degree in Pedagogy in Vietnam in 1977. I was also trained to instruct U.S. diplomats at the Foreign Service Institute (FSI) and officers from the Defense Language Institute (DLI). I have had enough calm and patience to deal with hard teaching conditions. I received awards from The Department of State (FSI) and the School of Language Studies (FSI) in 2014 and 2015.
