Amy, 5 lessons with MehrdadI have had three sessions with Mehrdad. He is very thorough and well-paced in the way he teaches. Teaches step-by-step formulas which you can use to complete the work and do it with precision. I like how when I do not understand the question, he explains it to me in an easily understandable way and links it back to the formulas and reintroduces the problems until I have nailed down that content. His teaching in trigonometry is creative and so far, is helping me tremendously with SAT practice...
I hold a BS in mechanical engineering and an MS in systems engineering from the University of Virginia. I have always been tutoring and teaching since I graduated from high school. I served as a teaching assistant in the applied math department at UVA from 2017 to 2021, assisting undergraduate students in various courses, including calculus, differential equations, probability, and statistics.

Knowledgeable and patience
Mehrdad is very knowledgeable and understands many subjects to a t. He taught me many different ways to not just get to an answer but understand the steps behind that answer. I do enjoy working with him as I get to know him even more.

Patient and Organized
Mehrdad had a structured way of teaching but was also very open and flexible. The structure and organization he has allows you to cover all the basics needed, but great at answering any questions you might have.
