Hi, my name is Kevin, and I've been tutoring for over 10 years. It started as a suggestion from a friend in college, putting up flyers in grocery stores and coffee shops. Little did I know the road that would follow. I've worked in different industries along the way, and tutoring always has a special place in my heart.
The rules of Math are connected, that is the beauty of it. I believe it's important to understand what's going on and how one gets to their answer. I like to use our sessions as a way for the student to be able to ask many questions as they wish, go over areas they are struggling in, and provide full attention and guidance in a way that is not possible in a large classroom setting.

My students range from elementary level to college students looking to get ahead in their Calculus course. Algebra, Precalculus, and Calculus I are my favorite subjects to teach.
I am flexible with location, meeting in libraries, cafes, or clients' homes

Algebra 1

Years of experience tutoring Algebra. I am able to anticipate and locate the source of confusion for specific topics after numerous hours of communicating with a variety of students.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

When I first started off tutoring, I received many requests for Algebra assistance. Through multiple students, I became familiar with the curriculum and know what lessons most students have trouble understanding. Algebra covers a lot of foundation skills, so I recognize the importance of the subject.
Calculus

Calculus

Back when I was tutoring students at Virginia Tech, there was one semester where all my students were in Calculus I. This allowed me to hone this course. I am still working on my Calc II skills, so if you need help with anything after integration, you may want to consider another tutor!
Football

Football

In high school, I had the pleasure of being part of one of the best football programs in the world. I am able to train and coach wide receivers, running backs, and defensive backs. I can also provide quarterbacks with an opportunity to train with a great, quick receiver.
Precalculus

Precalculus

Precalculus deals with the encompassment of trigonometry, the unit circle, and high-order algebraic equations. For many students, the connection between these concepts may seem nonexistent, but this is where my role as a tutor comes into play. I have the ability to see the bigger picture within the course while also making my teachings relevant for the future of my students.

Kevin has been the only tutor to help my son succeed in PreCalculus. My son has tried many tutors with no success. My son states that Kevin is able to break down the information in a way that helps him understand it and and a better communicator than his high school teacher. Kevin is awesome!

Great tutor!

Kevin has been helping my son who is a junior in high school with Algebra 2. My son really got a lot out of the sessions and his grade went up from a B to an A! When we first starting using Kevin he lived near us, but then before Christmas he had to move. I asked my son if he wanted a new tutor and he said he would rather do online tutoring with Kevin. The online sessions have been great so whether you need a tutor in house or online, I would highly recommend Kevin!
