Throughout my years as a student and then again as a working professional, one thing that has remained constant is my love and passion for languages and culture. I've loved learning and helping others learn. I currently speak four languages (English, French, Italian, Amharic) and will be picking up a fifth one soon. I believe that languages go beyond learning words in another language. It's the learning of a new culture and discovering a new people. It's an adventure and I am excited to take my students on this incredible journey through foreign languages and cultures. I was in a french school, learning in french since the age of three and I have added a few languages to my repertoire since then.
I have been tutoring and helping people learn Amharic for 4 years, and French for 2 years. My approach to tutoring is very simple, if the student is already learning french and needs my assistance then I am happy to go through the program book with them. If my students prefer for me to come up with lesson plans, I can also do that. I have a 24 hour notice policy for cancelling a lesson but I am flexible in terms of arranging make up classes. I usually meet my students in coffee shops, parks or libraries but I am open to other locations if it's more convenient for the student. I am open to doing group classes at a discounted rate and would be willing to work with the students or parents to come up with the best arrangement.
