Hi! My name is Justine, and I am a communications professional and native English speaker with a TEFL certificate from Georgetown University, a bachelor’s degree in media communications, and a master’s degree in real estate. My work in university and government communications involves writing, editing, and making information clear and accessible. I help students strengthen their grammar, writing, reading, and conversation skills, whether they’re learning English as an additional language or building confidence for academic and professional purposes.
My teaching experience includes two years of tutoring elementary and middle school students through Kumon Learning Center, where I developed a patient approach grounded in consistent practice and individual support. During my Georgetown TEFL certification, I completed a weeklong classroom practicum with international adult English learners. I designed five two-hour lessons with varied activities to help students develop their English skills in an online learning environment.
I tailor lessons to each student’s goals, whether that means organizing an essay, understanding grammar, expanding vocabulary, or speaking more naturally. Lessons may include writing and editing exercises, guided conversations, everyday role-playing, and focused practice with grammar and sentence structure. For English-language learners, we can also explore common expressions and when to use them in casual, academic, or professional settings.
I strive to create a welcoming environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenges. I take time to explain concepts, offer constructive feedback, and recognize progress along the way. My goal is to help each student become a clearer, more confident, and more independent communicator.
