My experience is extensive and I excel at making individualized study plans that fit you and your personal goals. I passed step 1 on first attempt and received a Step 2 CK score of 268 on my first attempt, so I know how to succeed on USMLE and what it is looking for. I specialize in two areas of tutoring: study plan development, having helped hundreds of students develop and successfully develop their own, and remediation of failed USMLE exams. I have brought failing students into passing ranges in as little as 3-4 weeks following my study plan. My students can and do succeed.

My style tends to be student-guided and question-based: if you don't have a topic in mind, don't worry! I will bring some questions for us to talk through. I can tutor on any preclinical subject that the student requests for medical school.

I have spent years assisting in admissions processes and understand what medical schools are looking for in a candidate, and can help prepare students with both personal statements and interview skills. I am happy to do mock interviews!

I pride myself in responding to students extremely quickly and I have lots of time as a fourth year, so feel free to reach out and I can getcha in! I am also currently receiving my Master's in Education at Penn State World Campus, and formerly worked at UVA as a calculus TA. I have been involved with interview prep for medical students at Penn State College of Medicine. I have also participated in over 50 hours of admissions lunch-talks, discussing school expectations with medical student applicants. I have also mentored multiple medical students regarding medical school interview prep, and have been significantly involved in interview work for residency applicants. Further, I am a part of Penn State's LCME reaccreditation team and am aware of the standards and qualifications needed/vision for applicants.

I took the MCAT myself and scored at the 87th percentile. I have extensive experience tutoring the sciences, including biology, immunology, and chemistry, all taught at the medical school level. I can help students create study plans for the MCAT, offer feedback and advice, and discuss resource usage with them.

I have mentored multiple medical student hopefuls in applying to medical school, including personal statement writing and expectations. My involvement has also included as an official Penn State tutor and I have discussed with students career goals/personal statement goals. I have also helped to edit personal statements for peers and mentees in the past, and many have been successfully admitted to medical school.

I have judged for the Virginia High School Forensics League professionally for the past 3 years, and have judged all categories, including debate, extemporaneous, and original oratory. I know what judges on a competitive circuit want and how to give students feedback on speeches, as well as rules for different categories. Additionally, I myself competed and made it to Nationals in both the extemporaneous and original oratory categories. In medical school, I have experience presenting research posters and original research, and also participated in a formal showcase debate at the Pennsylvania Hall of Delegates for the American Medical Association regarding Organ Transplant. I have experience coaching students in speech and can help create speech plans with effective feedback from the ground up!
USMLE

USMLE

I scored a 268 on Step 2 CK, above the 90th percentile. I also have spent two years as a tutor at Penn State helping students to remediate Step 1 and Step 2, working with them individually to make study plans. I currently am part of the volunteer tutoring program there and will be doing formal Step 1 and Step 2 tutoring through the school this year. Additionally, I am completing my Master's in Education May of 2026 and have experience with multiple different learning styles.

Encouraging and insightful tutor

Eleni was very helpful; we went through various resources so that I could ace my pediatrics and internal medicine rotations and kill step 2. She discussed what helped her prepare for the exam and we built my schedule. I found it especially helpful that we had a brief call before our session to determine if we were a good fit.
