I started learning piano when I was four years old, and it has been a big part of my life ever since. Over the years, I’ve worked hard to build my skills, and I am now certified at Grade 7 Piano through Trinity College London. I’ve been lucky to be trained by a PhD music teacher who has guided me not just in playing the piano, but also in understanding music theory and developing strong performance habits.
Because I’ve been learning for such a long time, I know what it feels like to start from the very beginning and slowly grow more confident. That’s one of the reasons I enjoy teaching kids—I can connect with how exciting but sometimes challenging it is to learn piano. I’ve worked one-on-one with younger students, focusing on making lessons fun, easy to follow, and encouraging, whether that means using games for beginners or helping older kids polish a piece they’re proud of.
For me, teaching piano is about more than just playing the right notes. It’s about helping kids build confidence, enjoy the process, and discover how creative and rewarding music can be. I want my students to look forward to their lessons and feel proud of their progress, no matter what level they are starting from.
