In addition to my research, I have served as a teaching assistant at George Mason University, where I supported undergraduate courses in Data Structures and Object-Oriented Programming. This role allowed me to develop my skills in explaining technical concepts, guiding lab exercises, and mentoring students with diverse backgrounds. Earlier in my career, I worked as a Java Spring Boot backend developer in industry and completed my master’s degree in South Korea, where I also studied image processing and advanced machine learning techniques. My undergraduate thesis incorporated machine learning applications as well, reflecting a consistent focus on applying computational methods to solve real-world problems.
Beyond university teaching, I have more than four years of experience as a home tutor, working one-on-one with middle school students in math, science, chemistry, physics, and computer programming. I am passionate about creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that helps students build confidence and master challenging material. Whether teaching foundational skills or advanced topics, I strive to adapt my approach to each learner’s needs and goals.
