Hello! My name is Christina and I have been a classroom teacher since 2013. I have taught both Middle School Science and Social Studies, and am currently teaching 7th-grade Life Science. I have my Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the College of William and Mary and my Master's in Science Education from Arizona State University.
I have been assisting students one-on-one for years, adapting my methods to each student's unique learning style. I am experienced and trained in a wide variety of teaching methods and take pride in how I can switch gears if one method isn't working. I am excited to work with you or your child to help reinforce and grow the knowledge needed to be successful in the classroom.
In addition to supporting content and the knowledge being learned in class, I also provide students with study skills and strategies they can utilize in their classes so they learn how to support their own learning. I have always encouraged organization and understanding of one's own learning style, and see the most progress when study skills are integrated with the content knowledge. I am happy to assist or provide sessions in organization, note taking, and study strategies.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a session. I will respond promptly and I look forward to working with your student!
