Hi, I'm Amelia! I graduated from East Stroudsburg University with Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science, Computer Security, and Hotel Restaurant and Tourism Management while also minoring in Mathematics and Business Management. Currently I am working on a Technology Management master's degree at Georgetown University. Throughout school, I discovered that there is always more than one way to solve a problem. I know that for myself and other students that I have worked with, finding another way to complete the problem can make a world of difference in understanding. My goal as a tutor is to help students find what works for them to allow them to grow in their schooling and feel more confident about their work!

I tailor all of my lesson plans to the individual so that I can try and find a way to make math more enjoyable. Whether it's sports, music, or anything in between I like to relate the lessons to something the student understands and likes working with. I also make sure that I adjust my methods to fit the student's individual needs.

I have ten years of tutoring experience with all math levels from K-12 and college. I work directly with students in one on one settings as well as small groups. I do offer reoccurring lessons however my schedule does occasionally change due to work travel (this does not happen very often). If that is the case and a lesson would be missed, I will either reschedule at your convinence, or provide any support possible through messages throughout the time I am gone (I do not charge for helping through messages while I am away).
