Hi! I am excited to offer tutoring services in the Daleville and Roanoke areas. I am a sixth grade teacher at a local private school, and have much experience in working in the classroom, as well as one-on-one with students.

I love to use creative, innovative, and fun methods to help students discover their abilities and talents, and to help them see that they can do so much more than they can even imagine. Building confidence outside of the classroom through the use of technology, manipulatives, practice sets, and critical thinking problems can help students to be better equipped for not only school, but for the real world.

I have a Master’s degree in education, and love math! It has always been my favorite subject. My passion for numbers helps fuel my energetic approach to teaching students.

Reading is found in every subject. Therefore, it is vital to have a solid grasp on the basics. It is also important for students to feel confident in their reading abilities to help them build a love for learning. I love to see students choose books over video games and reading over movies, so I make reading fun and open up their imaginations as we learn!

Phonics can be a great way to help students figure out words and word formations. When used in conjunction with other techniques, phonics helps to provide the basis for reading.
