I hold a PhD in Chemistry, with extensive experience in both research and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. During my doctoral studies, I taught laboratory and lecture courses in general, organic, and medicinal chemistry, developing a deep understanding of how to break down complex concepts into clear, understandable lessons. I have also helped design an upper-level course in chemistry, in which I prepared lesson plans and wrote homework and exam questions. I also mentored undergraduate students one-on-one in research projects, helping them design experiments, interpret results, and strengthen their understanding of key chemical principles.

I have provided private tutoring in chemistry to college students in general chemistry and organic chemistry. My approach emphasizes understanding rather than memorization. I work with students to identify gaps in their knowledge, guide them through problem-solving strategies, and tailor lessons to their individual learning styles. I have found that students of all levels benefit from a combination of visual explanations, practice problems, and real-world examples that connect theory to applications. Most importantly, I have found that active learning is essential to student success, and I focus my sessions accordingly.

My 7 years of tutoring and teaching experience spans one-on-one sessions, small group tutorials, and larger office-hour settings, which has honed my ability to adjust my teaching methods to different skill levels and learning contexts. I am passionate about helping students build confidence in their chemistry skills and achieve academic success.
