I know that the summer slide can happen to students once school lets out and I want to be able to lessen those effects! As a current teacher, I know and understand what skills students should practice over the summer to stay sharp.
I have taught 4th and 5th grade math skills in Virginia and my students receive passing scores on the Math SOL test.
I majored in English as an Undergraduate and I still hold a passion for reading and grammar. Reading is a fundamental part of my teaching style. I incorporate reading to any subject that I teach. I consider it the building block of education.
