Greetings! I have over 14 years of experience in education. I have taught and tutored and worked in supervisory educational roles too. I still work part time in education, excluding this- I work with prek- 5 teaching them mini lessons related to SOL standards. I have taught English from 6-12 grade and also have taught in alternative, special, and higher education. I love teaching children! I want everyone to be successful and not quite just because it gets hard.

I am strong in Elementary Math because I am familiar with the VA SOL standards and have worked with many children various areas of math from prek-5. Every child is different so what may work for one child, may not work for another. I use flashcards, math games( I made), online games, and other manipulatives to help the child succeed.
I have taught English for many years. I have taught children to adult age. It is important to learn the basics early one and use them as you get older and use them in everyday scenarios. I have experience with Reading too. I was a Reading Resource Teacher and I am familiar with lexile levels too.
I have a great track record preparing children and adults for the SOLS, ASVAB, and GED. I feel and understand the frustration and anxiety behind taking a test and really spend time breaking it down as oppose to just trying to remember the information.
I love children! The young children soak up tons of information is it is fun and with the right person!
