Bio

My name is Francesca, and I am an editor, proofreader, educator, and writer. I have a BA in English, an MA in English Literature, and an MFA in creative writing. I am newer to Wyzant, but I have been tutoring for six years and teaching Composition at the college level for two.

My name is Francesca, and I am an editor, proofreader, educator, and writer. I have a BA in English, an MA in English Literature, and an MFA in creative writing. I am newer to Wyzant, but I have been tutoring for six years and teaching Composition at the college level for two.
I work with students of all ages, from elementary school to adult. I have helped students with reading, writing, and comprehension needs.
I have also helped students with their college applications, personal statements, job applications, essays, creative writing, etc.
I currently live on the East Coast, but am happy to work with students from different time zones.
I have always had a slight obsession with the written word and love to share that admiration with my students. I am a huge supporter of learning what the student needs/how they learn and shaping the tutoring session so they can receive the most out of it.

Francesca is one of the best English tutors out there! She really helped my son develop his understanding for his book and also helped him prepare for essays. She is knowledgable, patient, understanding, and knows the exact questions to ask to provoke thought. My son feels confident writing this next essay because of two tutoring sessions. Francesca has an insane amount of knowledge when it comes to writing papers. She helped me fix an important paper and structured it to sound much more formal than what I originally had. Francesca has patience like no other which is something I personally value a lot. She never got impatient when I asked simple questions, she was there to assist me on getting a better understanding of how to write my paper as well. Before I met with her i had an immense amount of stress because I was scared I was not gonna finish my paper. Francesca helped me understand what I needed to do and even gave me an outline. The price she charges is nothing compared to her work ethic being put in helping students write papers and understanding them. Francesca is one of the best people I have ever worked with for academic tasks. You will definitely not regret meeting with her I promise that.
