I have been in the Cosmetology and Beauty Industry since 1977 (36 yrs). I have been licensed in 2 states Ohio & Virginia. I was a former salon owner for 16 years in Portsmouth, Va. There I worked with the Va Vocational Technical Centers Cosmetology Dept were I trained several students in the salon and helped prepare them for the Va state board. I was responsible for following the agenda of the Vocational school and state board criteria to help ad the students in there practice work to complete there hours and prepare them for state board.

I am a former member of the Va Beauticians Assoc. and the Va Cosmetologist Assoc. Right now I presently work at a salon in Portsmouth VA called PHdesign. I am constantly taking up dated courses in the field of Cosmetology. I am a certified make up and skin care consultant. I completed a 6 month online Certified Advanced Makeup course with Elite makeup and Skin care school located in Barcelona Spain. I've been a Dudley Cosmetics Consultant as well as a Mary Kay Consultant.

I freelance makeup work for weddings, proms, fashion shows and cosmetic work for theater and plays. I've completed advanced courses with Dudley Cosmetology University in Greensboro NC, Affirm Products and Matrix color. Just recently I attended a workshop with Influence Haircare Co. It was to update all Cosmetologist in product knowledge, professionalism and customer service. I really enjoy helping others receive and gather knowledge in a way that helps them retain and enjoy it.

I also am a Wilton cake decorator, Certified. I've taken updated classes with Party cakes and things Va beach Va, Wine cakes and hobbies in Norfolk Va. I do freelance cake decorating for people doing Birthday's, Showers & small Weddings. I love beauty, design and pretty things.
