I'm Benjamin! I graduated high school in 2015 as valedictorian. In 2019, I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the US Naval Academy. I was one of the top graduates in the Mechanical Engineering curriculum. Following undergraduate school, I graduated in 2020 with a Master's of Science degree from the Naval Postgraduate school. In high school, I tutored both mathematics and physics to peers and family friends. In college, I volunteered as a tutor for Chemistry I and Chemistry II. In total, I have tutored for 8 years throughout high school and college.
For my current profession, I serve as a Submarine Officer in the US Military. The training curriculum for submarines is known to be one of the most academically rigorous programs. The curriculum is fast paced and prepares all individuals to operate a naval nuclear reactor.
I am starting tutoring again because miss working with students and helping them succeed in subjects they are struggling with. One of my greatest memories as a volunteer tutor is having one my students reach out to me following her final exam for Chemistry. She was ecstatic that she had not only passed, but earned and A, on her final exam. I will go above and beyond to help you succeed!
I want you to benefit as much as possible. My tutoring method involves an interactive approach with each individual student. I will gauge what the student wants to accomplish prior to the lesson so I can prepare in advance. Additionally, I will use an interactive whiteboard to teach and save material for the student to reference later on. I welcome any feed back or suggestions to help you reach your goals. I am easy to reach and will respond within a day. Please reach out to schedule your lesson and I look forward to working with you!
