Greetings! I would be honored to serve as tutor for History, Political Science/Government, Mandarin Chinese, or classical Chinese. I am a historian and political scientist who is bilingual in English-Mandarin Chinese. I am able to work with students who are preparing for AP exams in history or government, as I have taken the exams myself, attaining maximum scores (5). It would also be a pleasure to work with ESOL students, especially those from a Mandarin-speaking background.

Greetings! I would be honored to serve as tutor for History, Political Science/Government, Mandarin Chinese, or classical Chinese. I live in the US Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone. In-person available for residents of Charlottesville, VA.
I also look forward to serving the academic research community. China and the Islamic world (Iran and Central Asia), and to an extent the Mughal empire and Russia, fall within my area of knowledge. Anyone who needs support with academic writing in English is welcome to get in touch. For those who need help with primary-source texts in classical, literary, or modern Chinese, we can closely read the texts together. For political science, my concentrations were in international relations/security and comparative government.
I received a PhD in Near & Middle Eastern Civilizations from the University of Toronto, where I was trained to read classical Persian and Ottoman Turkish for historical research, and studied the Timurid dynasty. I have served as teaching assistant at the University of Toronto for history classes, and at Williams College for Mandarin Chinese.
