Hi there, I'm Nicole! I would love to work with you or your child on targeted writing assignments or projects, including college application essays, with the aim to develop lifelong writing skills. As more people are turning to AI for writing help, it can be difficult to feel confident in one's own skills and instincts. I am eager to help.

I am new to Wyzant but have been tutoring writing since 2013, when as an undergrad at Harvard University I was invited to work as a part-time writing tutor at the Harvard Writing Center. During my PhD, I served as a writing tutor for students at the Harvard Extension School. I have worked with college seniors on their undergraduate theses and PhD students on their dissertations. I have offered services as a personalized college essay writing coach for more than a dozen high school students (taking on no more than 2 or 3 students per application cycle).

I recently received my PhD in Public Policy from Harvard University, and I am a published author in academic journals. I previously received a master's (with distinction) in History and Philosophy of Science from Cambridge University and graduated magna cum laude from Harvard in 2016.

I am committed to helping students develop writing habits that will provide the foundation for life-long writing. I prefer to work with students across all phases of the writing process, including sessions for brainstorming, outlining and refining ideas and arguments. I am also able to advise on research practices, citation (specializing in Chicago Manual of Style, but with proficiency in other styles), formatting, and proofreading for grammar and clarity.
