Hello! My name is Anne. I currently teach General Chemistry at Piedmont Virginia Community College. For 16 years, I taught chemistry and biology at Madison County High School, Blue Ridge Virtual Governor’s School, and Charlottesville High School. I hold an active Virginia teaching license valid through June 2033.

My academic background includes a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Sorbonne Paris North University, along with 15 years of research experience in polymeric materials, including work conducted at Duke University and the University of Virginia.

I offer tutoring in general chemistry at the college level. At the high school level, I tutor chemistry (including Honors and Dual Enrollment) as well as biology (AP Biology, Honors, and Anatomy & Physiology). As a native French speaker, I also provide support in French language studies.

Over the years, I have supported hundreds of students from grades 9–12 and college. I understand the challenges students face, whether it is grasping difficult concepts or managing study habits. I offer personalized lessons tailored to their needs, working through a tough chemistry or biology unit, reviewing for a test or preparing for the AP Biology exam.
