I am a Virginia licensed K–6 teacher with seven years of teaching experience in elementary education. I hold a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from James Madison University. Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with ESL students, children with IEPs, and students with reading disabilities, including dyslexia. I also support homeschool families by assisting with curriculum selection and implementation, and I provide end‑of‑year homeschool evaluation services.

I am trained in the Orton‑Gillingham approach and specialize in structured literacy instruction. In addition, I am trained and have experience with Reading Simplified, a phonographix, speech‑to‑print reading program. I have also completed recent coursework in reading disorders and lesson engagement strategies to strengthen my instructional practice.

I offer tutoring in reading, writing, spelling, handwriting, math, social studies, science, study skills, and test preparation for students in PreK–6th grade. My lessons are engaging, individualized, and designed for measurable growth, with a strong emphasis on building both academic skills and student confidence.

Trained in Orton Gillingham, a multi sensory, research based teaching method for students struggling with reading and writing. It was specifically crafted for those struggling with dyslexia. I have also recently completed continuing education courses focused on the characteristics and needs of dyslexic learners.
