About Giuseppina

Bio

I am a Virginia licensed K-6 educator with 7 years of elementary school teaching experience. I graduated from James Madison University with a Masters degree in Elementary Education. I also completed a certification in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). I recently completed two continuing education courses in the subjects of reading disorders, and lesson planning and engagement through Shepherd University.

I am a Virginia licensed K-6 educator with 7 years of elementary school teaching experience. I graduated from James Madison University with a Masters degree in Elementary Education. I also completed a certification in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). I recently completed two continuing education courses in the subjects of reading disorders, and lesson planning and engagement through Shepherd University.

I have taught Kindergarten, second and fourth grades and have worked with ESL students as well as those with IEPs. I also have 5 years of experience teaching English to non-speaking parents. I am happy to tutor your child in reading, writing, spelling, handwriting, math, social studies and/or science. We can also work on study skills and test taking strategies. I am most comfortable working with students PreK through 6th grade.

My lessons are designed to meet students where they are with a goal of consistent and measurable improvement. I want to keep students engaged in their learning and motivated to succeed. My goal is to help students develop strategies that will not only improve their academic grades, but also build their confidence!

My son did 3 lessons so far with Ms Pina and he loves her. She is good with kids and makes learning fun. She keeps me informed about the topics she will be covering and always on time too. I would recommend her.
