My name is Gautam and I am looking to tutor students of all ages in math, computer science, and standardized test preparation. I've attended Georgia Tech and have both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Computer Science, finishing with a total GPA of 3.95/4. Specific courses I have taken and completed with an A grade are Object Oriented Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms, AP Computer Science, AP Calculus BC, various other APs, and other high level college courses.
I have various tutoring and teaching experiences. In middle school, I volunteered to teach elementary aged kids in introductory math and english, where I tutored 1 on 1 and in person, gaining valuable experience in the process. In high school, I taught concepts in AP Computer Science (including some extra advanced material) in a classroom style setting at my home. Here, I sharpened my group teaching skills and was able to successfully coach high school and middle school students as they entered the field of computer science. Throughout college, I continued these Java/AP Computer Science lessons in an online, 1 on 1 tutoring format. Furthermore, in college, I was a teaching assistant for multiple classes (Object Oriented Programming, Advanced Algorithmic Design, and Database Design and Implementation) where I assisted the professor in explaining the course concepts to other college students and also held office hours where I offered additional tutoring to students who needed it.
