I'm Jessica! I graduated from ECPI University with my Master of Science in Information Systems in 2015 and South University with my Master of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in cyber crime in 2012, both of which were entirely online. I am also returning to school to get a degree in data analytics. I love math, science and English and have always excelled in these subjects. During the time between my college courses, I did some work with a local school system to assist with math tutoring as a substitute teacher and was well liked. I enjoyed doing this work and would love to continue in an online format. At my job, I train others in ICQA and I have been told by my managers that I have done extremely well at training and that associates request me because of how I can easily give the information and I make them feel comfortable in the job. I also homeschool my 5 year old and I feel that I can combine all of this experience to benefit other children and adults. I love making learning fun and exciting!
With my son, I like to look at the information required to learn and adjust to fit his learning style. He has difficulty focusing so I know breaks are required, but I also work in fun breaks that allow him to move. When working with the local school system, I worked with all ages from second grade through ninth grade. The elementary ages were focused on all subjects and required computer work. Most of those children caught on quickly because of my teaching style. Those in the middle and high school presented some difficulty as many teenagers do, but I was able to adjust to ensure each student could be equally successful. Some students I was able to work with independently as others were not in need of extra help.
Although I do work full time, I have weekends and evenings open and would love to work others to ensure success. I am always easy to get in touch with, even at work. If any students need accommodations, I am more than willing to work with the parents.
