Hello! My name is Josh T. I am a dedicated Social Studies Teacher in Virginia.
I’ve been teaching in high school classrooms for more than ten years. Additionally, I serve as an adjunct Professor and as an AP Grader for the College Board.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in History from James Madison University, where I also minored in Secondary Social Studies and Interdisciplinary Social Sciences, before continuing on to complete my Master of Arts in Teaching. I am currently a licensed teacher in 6-12 Social Studies and English.

Over the years, I’ve taught and tutored in a wide range of subjects, including AP World History: Modern, Government and Civics, Economics and Personal Finance, World Geography, and Ancient History. I primarily work with high school students, offering both one-on-one and small group sessions that focus on developing confidence, mastery, and lasting academic skills. Whether a student is preparing for an AP Exam, state assessment, or final exam, I tailor each session to meet their specific needs through a mix of content review, practice assessments, and student-specific testing strategies.

My tutoring approach is structured but conversational. I am focused on helping students get the results they seek while keeping learning engaging. Students I’ve worked with consistently report higher confidence and stronger performance on their exams.
