I am an applied physics major at Morehouse College pursuing mechanical engineering through the Dual Degree Engineering Program. My academic training has given me a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, and problem solving. I've completed certifications in Python, data science, effective communication through Santander Open Academy, and leadership through Formula 1's program, all of which have strengthened my teaching abilities. Through research projects and writing narrative papers, I've developed strong grammar and composition skills that help me explain complex concepts with clarity.
My tutoring experience began when I mentored twenty students in drone technology, preparing them for the FAA Part 107 exam. Over several months, I guided them through aerodynamics, regulations, and flight operations, learning to break down challenging material and adjust explanations based on each student's learning style. I've also worked in Morehouse's Academic Success Center supporting peers in STEM coursework through individual and small group sessions. In both contexts, I've worked with high school and college aged students in classroom and individualized settings, finding genuine fulfillment in witnessing their breakthroughs and growth.
My approach centers on meeting students where they are with patience and understanding, diagnosing where confusion begins, and helping them develop reasoning skills to work independently. I believe the best learning happens in supportive environments where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking ownership of their progress. My goal extends beyond helping students master immediate material. I aim to build their confidence, deepen their curiosity, and equip them with problem solving habits that serve them well beyond our sessions together.
