My academic journey in architecture has been distinguished by a commitment to both personal excellence and community involvement. During my pursuit to my Masters of Architecture at the University of the District of Columbia, I maintain a perfect 4.0 GPA while working on a thesis focused on Vertical Urban Gardens in Vacant Buildings, a project that addresses issues of social equity and sustainability. As President of the Tau Sigma Delta Gamma Pi Honors Society, I had taken a leadership role within the academic community, fostering collaboration and innovation, as well as making efforts to help my fellow students.

My dedication to education extends beyond personal achievement, as I tutored fellow students, helping them develop problem-solving skills, navigate the challenges of architecture school, and learn the software needed to be a professional. This commitment to fostering academic growth has earned me prestigious accolades, including the AIA Medal for Academic Excellence, a Certificate of Excellence for my thesis, and becoming an AIAS Crit Scholar for my writing. My blend of academia, leadership, and mentorship reflects a deep passion for the field of architecture and a desire to contribute to both the academic and broader community.

Additionally, I have volunteered and worked during my educational career. I worked through the pandemic, taught multiple educators how to teach and work remotely, and spent numerous hours honing my skills in different software to help be successful in multiple fields. The reward mentioned earlier. AIA Medal of Academic Excellence, was awarded to me for my thesis, helping other students, and the work that I had done to help develop and change the education at my graduate school. I am confident that the experience I have can be shared in a constructive way and that I can teach those subjects to any willing to learn.

Architecture

Architecture

I completed a bachelors and masters degree in Architecture with honors in both and a 4.0 for my graduate degree specifically. I learned several programs and subjects that were additional to my education as well as had awards for my architecture work in school. I tutored several undergraduate students at my school while I was in graduate school and effectively taught severl of the graduate students skills that they didn't learn at the school we were going to. I learned from two different schools how to design and different architectual skills.
Interview Prep

Interview Prep

I have been in the hiring process or a hiring manager for 5+ years and had to look into several peoples resumes in different jobs and fields to help them get the job they need or want. I have interview questions I have asked people and different topics that some people might surprise you with.
Revit

Revit

I recieved a college educated course in revit for my architecture degrees. I then used it through my architecture degrees and helped classmates through how to use some of the more complex parts of it. Additionally, I helped undergraduate students while in grad school use the program to create everything from basic plans, sections and elevations to rendering and making their drawings look more professional.
Sketchup

Sketchup

I have taken college courses on how to use sketchup and actively used it for almost 5 years. I know the ins and outs and some interesting tricks that many people don't know. I have used it for architecture but also 3D modeling for a 3D printer as well. Additionally, I know how to import files into sketchup and export sketchup files to several different file types for different uses.
Theater

Theater

I started acting in several plays, two of which I got the lead roles in. Furthermore, I took college courses on theater and acting to enhance what I knew. This helped me in several cases, including but not limited to: acting, stage direction, costuming, theatre makeup, props, create set pieces, and other items.
Thesis Writing

Thesis Writing

I have not only created my own thesis with documentation but have helped others with theirs. The organization required and time management can be difficult but I have helped others in not just getting those figured out but additionally helped people rewrite portions, find research, and create diagrams and additional documentation needed.
