I'm an attorney, semi-retired. I have spent my adult life reading, writing and speaking in a manner designed to clearly communicate messages to a variety of audiences at all levels, including highly educated colleagues and judges; clients over the entire social spectrum; and juries made up from drivers' license pooling. Over my almost 40-year career I have honed my skills and increased my knowledge of effective communication in order to communicate ideas, concepts and descriptions. If you want to learn how to communicate in a more precise, accurate and effective manner, I think my skills are capable of being taught and those same skills are the tools I believe will make my teaching effective.
I have represented many types of legal clients in myriad conflicts and transactions. I have practiced in landlord/tenant, business and real estate acquisition, formation of business entities and a smattering of individual and personal matters not connected directly to business matters. I believe my experience writing and speaking as part of my professional skill set gives me the experience and knowledge necessary for students to learn these subjects. The same skills being taught are the skills I will use to teach.
I have a Juris Doctor with honors from a top level law school. I practiced in a small firm and as a sole practitioner for almost 40 years before deciding to semi-retire. I continue to represent a small number of clients in business and personal matters, but have a broad and deep range of legal experience in business matters.
I'd like to help you learn to effectively use the tools of communication. English, grammar and vocabulary are important for effective communication at all levels. Regardless of the knowledge level at which you encounter the desire to increase your skills, you need a tutor who can impart the knowledge to you.
