I am currently a Master of Professional Studies (MPS) student in Nutrition and a dietetic intern, with a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from Penn State. My academic background includes coursework in nutrition, metabolism, anatomy and physiology, and health sciences, along with hands-on clinical and applied experience. Through my internship, I have worked in a variety of settings, including inpatient care, outpatient counseling, and sports nutrition, which has strengthened both my content knowledge and ability to communicate complex topics clearly.

I have experience teaching and educating a range of populations, including college students and student-athletes, through both one-on-one and small group settings. This includes leading nutrition education sessions, developing practical learning materials, and guiding individuals through topics such as macronutrients, metabolism, and performance fueling. I focus on breaking down challenging concepts into simple, relatable explanations and tailoring my approach based on each student’s learning style and goals.

My teaching style is supportive, practical, and interactive. I aim to help students not only understand the material for exams, but also apply it in real-life situations. I have a strong interest in sports nutrition and performance, and much of my experience has involved working directly with athletes on fueling strategies, recovery, and hydration. I will be starting as a sports dietitian in August, and I enjoy helping students connect foundational science concepts to real-world performance and health outcomes. Whether preparing for exams or building confidence in science-based subjects, I strive to create a comfortable environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and engage in the learning process.

Approved Subjects

Anatomy

Anatomy

I have a strong foundation in anatomy through my undergraduate degree in Nutritional Sciences and ongoing graduate studies at Penn State. As a dietetic intern, I’ve applied anatomy in clinical settings, including ICU, outpatient care, and sports performance environments. I regularly connect anatomical concepts to real-world applications like digestion, metabolism, and performance. I also have experience teaching and simplifying complex topics through cooking classes and athlete education sessions, making anatomy approachable for all learning levels.
Cooking

Cooking

I have experience leading hands-on cooking classes for student-athletes, focusing on building confidence in the kitchen while connecting meals to performance and health. These sessions included teaching basic cooking techniques, meal prep, and how to create balanced meals with limited time and resources. I emphasize simple, approachable recipes and practical skills that students can use in everyday life. My background in nutrition allows me to explain not just how to cook, but why certain foods support overall health and performance.
Fitness

Fitness

Through my experience in collegiate athletics, I have worked alongside student-athletes to support fueling strategies that align with training and performance goals. I have provided education on topics such as pre- and post-workout nutrition, hydration, and recovery. My approach to fitness is rooted in supporting overall health, energy availability, and sustainable habits rather than quick fixes. I enjoy helping students understand how nutrition and training work together to improve performance and well-being.
Nutrition

Nutrition

I am currently a Master of Professional Studies (MPS) student in Nutrition and a dietetic intern with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences. My training includes coursework in metabolism, medical nutrition therapy, and anatomy and physiology, along with hands-on experience in clinical and sports nutrition settings. I have worked with both patients and student-athletes to explain nutrition concepts such as macronutrients, energy balance, and nutrient timing practically. I focus on helping students understand both the science and the real-life application of nutrition.
Softball

Softball

As a former softball player, I bring both personal experience and a strong understanding of the physical and mental demands of the sport. I am familiar with training, game preparation, and the importance of consistency and fundamentals. In addition to skill development, I can help athletes better understand how nutrition and recovery support performance on the field. I aim to create a positive and encouraging environment while helping players build confidence and improve their game.
