I am currently a Master of Professional Studies (MPS) student in Nutrition and a dietetic intern, with a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from Penn State. My academic background includes coursework in nutrition, metabolism, anatomy and physiology, and health sciences, along with hands-on clinical and applied experience. Through my internship, I have worked in a variety of settings, including inpatient care, outpatient counseling, and sports nutrition, which has strengthened both my content knowledge and ability to communicate complex topics clearly.
I have experience teaching and educating a range of populations, including college students and student-athletes, through both one-on-one and small group settings. This includes leading nutrition education sessions, developing practical learning materials, and guiding individuals through topics such as macronutrients, metabolism, and performance fueling. I focus on breaking down challenging concepts into simple, relatable explanations and tailoring my approach based on each student’s learning style and goals.
My teaching style is supportive, practical, and interactive. I aim to help students not only understand the material for exams, but also apply it in real-life situations. I have a strong interest in sports nutrition and performance, and much of my experience has involved working directly with athletes on fueling strategies, recovery, and hydration. I will be starting as a sports dietitian in August, and I enjoy helping students connect foundational science concepts to real-world performance and health outcomes. Whether preparing for exams or building confidence in science-based subjects, I strive to create a comfortable environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and engage in the learning process.
