Hi, I'm Tim!
I have a B.S. in mathematics from the University of Connecticut, and a Ph.D. in mathematics from UCLA. I'm currently teaching faculty at a university in Virginia.
I've taught university-level courses as the primary instructor in Calculus I/II, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, and Number Theory at both UCLA and my current institution. In addition, I have extensive teaching and tutoring experience across the full undergraduate mathematics curriculum. This includes Precalculus, Single Variable/Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Discrete Math, Real Analysis, Complex Analysis, Abstract Algebra, and more.
I live and breathe teaching! I have over 15 years of experience tutoring and teaching mathematics at both the high school and university level. As a graduate student at UCLA, I won a teaching award for having some of the highest teaching evaluations among all graduate students in the mathematics department. As an undergraduate, I was a counselor at the Ross Mathematics Program, where I mentored and taught gifted high school students.
I am a meticulous, patient, and supportive tutor. I provide a judgment free environment where you're encouraged to ask any question, no matter how "silly" it might seem. I take the time to answer explain things clearly and thoroughly, and I'm committed to passing on the world-class education I received so you can reach your personal and academic goals.
