Hello! I am a fourth-year medical student at the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine, and hope to be matching in Psychiatry. I graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor’s degree in History, which strengthened my analytical thinking, reading comprehension, and writing skills. Throughout my academic career, I have performed strongly on standardized exams, including the ACT, MCAT, USMLE Step 1 and Step 2, and COMLEX Level 1 and Level 2, giving me a solid foundation in test-taking strategies and content mastery that I bring into my tutoring.
I have been tutoring since 2017 and have worked with students across a wide range of ages and academic levels. I began through volunteer ESL tutoring, which helped me develop patience and adaptability while working with students from diverse backgrounds. During my gap years, I worked as an online instructor and SAT preparation tutor, teaching students in both one-on-one and small group settings. I have also tutored through private sessions and tutoring centers, primarily working with K–12 students in both in-person and virtual formats.
My tutoring style emphasizes simplicity, repetition, and confidence building. I focus on breaking complex topics down into manageable concepts, reinforcing foundational skills, and helping students understand not just what to learn, but how to learn effectively. I strive to create a supportive, structured learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and gain confidence in their abilities over time.
